INTERVIEWING SKILLS, PART I

In Part I of Interviewing Skills, participants will hear a realistic view of the interview process. The program will address misunderstandings about interviews, de-mystify the interview process and calm your concerns. Interviewing Skills I will include an explanation of the types of interviews you may face and assistance to prepare for answering common interview questions.

In Part II of Interviewing Skills, strategies designed to help you address liabilities, prepare your questions for the interviewer, and send your thank you communications are addressed. Other helpful hints, including managing the offer, will be shared so that you will be prepared to advance your job search to job acceptance.

Join us on May 5 and May 19, the next two regular SJN meetings, when we present SJN’s Curriculum on Interviewing Skills, Part I and Part II. Then, on Tuesday, May 26, you can put all this newfound knowledge to use in SJN’s Interview Workshop & Dress Rehearsal! This is a hands-on event with a limited number of seats, and it always sells out–so register promptly if you’re interested.

 

Research shows that the more you practice and rehearse your content, the better your delivery. Take advantage of this opportunity to practice your interviewing technique in a safe and supportive environment. This workshop will give you the opportunity to practice your interviewing repeatedly and get feedback from recruiters and hiring managers!

 

 

We will begin the session with a brief overview of interviewing techniques and instructions for the day. Most of the time will be allotted to practicing your interviewing and receiving feedback.  IMPORTANT NOTE: registration for this event ends May 21st. There is mandatory prework!
