Volunteers of the Week: Virginia Chang, Sandra Amoroso

Virginia Chang is now a SJN Alumni, and she is an awesome volunteer and leader! Virginia was a great help at all of the West Valley events and was the first to volunteer for pre- and post-event assignments. As part of that effort, she developed and documented the survey results reporting process, allowing future volunteers to take on this task with minimal instruction. Anyone who is part of the Fox Trot Self Support Team knows that Virginia has had a big part in the team’s success. From coordinating meetings and distributing information, to keeping everyone focused and in a positive frame of mind, Virginia showed leadership and passion for helping others.  We all wish her the best in her new position, and hope to see her on occasion at future SJN events.

Sandra Amoroso has been one of the key volunteers for the West Valley. Sandra started volunteering for event tasks, then decided she could do more. For the last few months, she has been executing several behind-the-scenes projects, coordinating on-line registrations, processing post event statistics and forms, and compiling the post event survey results into a detailed, professional report. Through it all, Sandra has been eager to help and she is open to learning new tools and processes. Sandra is a pleasure to work with, and always hits her deadlines. Look for Sandra to take on a leadership role in the near future, as she begins helping with the event coordination process.
