Since its establishment in 1965, Glendale Community College has provided hundreds of thousands of students with a quality learning environment designed to maximize individual potential and enhance opportunities for success.
More than 30,000 students enrolled last year in a wide variety of degree and certificate programs on their way to achieving personal goals that are as diverse as the individuals served. Whether they seek to gain knowledge about a particular subject, earn a degree or certificate, receive workforce training, enjoy lifelong learning, prepare for a new career or transfer to a university, students benefit from the expertise of GCC’s exceptional faculty and helpful student services.
GCC offers classes at its palm-lined main campus near downtown Glendale, at the picturesque mountainside GCC North campus in the far North-Central Valley and at the new Communiversity at Surprise in the Northwest Valley. At each location, students are provided with the knowledge, skills and support they need to succeed in the classroom and the world beyond it.
Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, GCC is both the second-oldest and second-largest college in terms of on-campus attendance within the 10-college Maricopa Community College District. The District is one of the world’s largest higher-education systems and the largest provider of job training in Arizona.
