Since SJN’s first meeting at Temple Chai in 2007, SJN members and guests have been aware that the Temple Chai staff and community have been happy to have our meetings at their facility. This is evidenced by their warmth and friendliness, and their willingness to work with the organization accommodating our expanding needs. Temple Chai promotes SJN events on their website and in the Phoenix Jewish News.
About the Shalom Center at Temple Chai
The Shalom Center, a division of Temple Chai, provides strength, solace, education, and a sense of community to those in need. Under the leadership of Sharona Silverman MPH, Founder and Executive Director, the Shalom Center offers numerous programs to help heal body, mind, and spirit. Doing good deeds is central to the Jewish tradition; the highest level of good deed is to help someone find a job. The Shalom Center has therefore welcomed SJN as a partner in helping to further its mission in the community.
